In-School Programs (Lunch & After-School) – Drawing & Painting

In our in-school Drawing & Painting programs, students will create one painting and one drawing inspired by carefully selected reference photos—drawing from both contemporary artists as well as Impressionist and Post-Impressionist masters.

Students will learn and explore:

• 🎨 Colour mixing, layering, and composition building

• ✏️ Proportions and drawing fundamentals

• 🖊️ Drawing techniques with pen, charcoal, and graphite (including blending, cross-hatching, and more)

Our curriculum is not rigid—we encourage students to explore a variety of mediums and techniques, finding what interests them most while also being gently challenged to step outside their comfort zone and try new methods of art-making.

Saturday Morning Class – Painting & Mixed Media

​

Our Saturday program is open to both beginners and experienced young artists. Each student receives guidance tailored to their skill level by instructor Lucas Biagini, ensuring a balance of support and challenge.

We will focus on:

• 🌄 Landscape painting

• 🏺 Still life painting

• 🎨 Colour mixing & painting techniques

• ✨ Mixed media approaches

This class emphasizes observation, creativity, and detail, while also giving students the freedom to explore different materials and approaches to art-making.
